Read my post from the third page. Nothing more than XE-R based camshafts. Each one is 2 degree's bigger than it's predacesor. Like I said before, these cams aren't rocket science. That's prolly why they keep um secret. If everyone knew they were just shelf lobes, why would there be any hype?

honestly i cant see why keeping the cam specs a secreat would be a good idea..

my only guess is it adds to the mystery of some guys "magic combo"

mabye this is goodd for those guys who dont like telling others about their setup but being this is ls1tech (a technical information sharing forum) i dont see that being a useful marketing tool

past that mabye their cams are just not what is percieved as the "in demand specs" so they hide the specs as so not to turn away potential customers??? but i think that might be a far shot if those specs for the g5x3 are acurate

are there cams more expensvie than most cams? i see alot of yall saying that. if so why buy them, just go elsewhere, theres nothing specail about them, there are a handfull of cams that have the specs on the sites for sale and perform just as good. and the x3 and x4 specs are out, i have all them, you can prob find them in a search if you look hard enough. personaly hidding specs imo is stupid, it will cost you more buisness than it will help you, already has most likely, but everyones idea of how to operate a buisness is different, just do buisness with the people who you think do it the right way, i run a buisness myself, sell expensive indutrial machines, if i said you just have to trust me they would fall on the floor laughing and hang up and call one of my competitors and buy it

Ok I will bite. From info I have collected over the past year. May not be exact but close.

I have driven Two ZO6s with G5X2 cams and one ZO6 with a G5X3 and 4.10s. IMHO if you love high RMP cars these are great, but off the line or out of a corner in road racing, miminal grunt.
DOnt forget guys any cam needs the apporepate heads, air intake and exhuast plus a dang great tune to be useful.

G2 224/224 580/580 114
G5 224/230 581/572 114
G5X1 228/232 588/574 112
G5X2 232/240 595/608 112 TQ406/HP432
G5X3 234/242 600/610 112 TQ387/HP444 Violent mid range torque and HP

all this cams work best with 3500-7000 RPM ranges.

No big secret, just hunt around here for a bit and you get some numbers to almost any cam or flow of heads.

Work with a tuner and builder you can trust for best results.

when i was doing my research for a cam , i found that the cam that most of the ppl are happy with was the g5x3 so i bought it and "blindly" install it i got 441hp/410 tq with all bolt ons(no 90/90,nor e water pump)and pp heads and 407hp/389tq cam headers only, I guess very few other cams are shown consistant numbers like that.ignorace is a gift some times hehe

The hella secret cam specs make perfect sense to me. So let’s dig into this...1. LG has spent allot of time with R&D and if he let the specs out I am sure every company under the sun would copy it and sell slightly different versions if not the exact same. 2. Most jack asses on here don’t know **** (Including myself) about cam specs and would just do the redneck educated guess and say "Well so and so has a cam close to this size and it cleared!" Then puts it in and kills some valves. So what do you think he is going to do now? Yep that’s right!! He calls LG up bitching. 3. Do you truly think the cam specs you hear about are the exact specs of the cam? I bet they are not even close and I would even bet that over time some cams might get a little update with out anyone knowing. 4. Why do you guys need to know the specs? Is it like a car putting out big RWHP on a dyno and getting that print out to spank it to?

BTW Scrap that "slp 85mm mass air" you have in your parts list.

You know... i truly don't understand "why" evryone beat's up on the Pacesetter's??? I have OVER 100K on mine, very little surface rust & drive my car in all kinds of weather...
Here is my power curve through my A4.. (stalled), all bolton's, RPM4 cam ( 232/236 .595 .601 114) "they are not afraid to advertise numbers", true duals, LS6 intake... & little ole 323's...

Matter of fact.. i am having my Ported LS6 heads thrown on this week along with the "Race" version of the Pacesetter's... ( currently running EGR version)..

good luck with your project.. sounds like an awesome set up.

As far as the rest goes i would say you should be some where around 410-420rwhp with a cutout. Give or take a few a ponies.

As you mentioned before, kooks or qtp are going to give you a little more than pacesetters. Not a whole lot up top but more through out the curve. When you switch to kooks i would maybe even look into swapping the Y-pipe/cutout for a true dual system.

As long as this G5X4 cam sounds mean and performs fairly well, I'll be happy.
