Default What cubes for the Trex?

Ok, when people are posting about these large cams and putting them in their stock 346ci motors, I forget his name, but he will always chime in and say it would be better to go with a smaller cam and a larger stall. If I recall correctly, one of the reasons I gathered was because maybe we only had 346cubes. I was wondering, in regards to the trex cam, if a larger displacement motor would be better for it? If so then how many cubes???

Depends what your goal is. If you want the same affect or the ability to run the same state of tune the T-rex offers on a 346 then you'll want something more than it in a larger displacement motor.

So the trex was designed for the ls1 or 346ish cubed motor?

The t-rex was designed for the 346 with stock heads and stock bottom end.

the trex will jus get better with a good head/intake setup. people that say otherwise have some issues. granted, you have to pick your heads wisely to match the cams abilities but they will help.

LS6 heads (243's) would work better than 805,853,241's.

Plus a T-rex would almost be a small cam for a stroker motor. Most people with the 382-427-454 are starting out with a 24x-25x cams.

He talks about low LSA's on mid-smaller cams.
