Trick Flow heads track results
First off it has been really hot here in Montgomery, Al but it is never too hot to go the track and run a new setup!
Below is my best pass of the night.
60ft –---- 1.54
330 ------4.580
1/8-------7.15
MPH------95.46
¼--------11.26
MPH-----119.41
The DA was around 2000ft. My race weight was ~3420.

Good question!
The LG cam is a good ole single pattern 230/230 .595/.595. Small by todays standards.

These Trick Flow heads are replacing a great set of TEA stage 1.5 heads that with a 224/224 cam put the car in the high 10s at 10.98 @ 122.46 on a 1.50 60ft. The DA was -300ft or so. With a 230/230 cam and the same TEA heads the car ran a 10.91 @ 122.64 on a 1.48 60ft. The DA was -1100ft. The car is no stranger to quick runs. Needless to say TEA puts out a great ported 5.3 head that are a very hard act to follow.
For my old TEA heads to run 11.26 @ 119.47 the DA would have had to be about 800ft or better. Explained in another way, my old setup would have run about an 11.40 in the same weather conditions that the Trick Flow heads ran an 11.26 in.
There are many, many factors that affect the ET a car runs such as your race weight, the weather conditions (DA), 60ft time, and others. Unless you document the race trim, mods, and weather conditions on every pass (which I do) it is very difficult to compare the gains that you see from one mod to the next.
One thing I am sure of is that the .1-.15 improvement in ET with the Trick Flow heads over my old setup is significant.
There is no question that these Trick Flow heads will put the car in the 10.80s in negative DA weather.
