Or it can plug up an oil passage and spin a bearing... But i really doubt it. Oil pressure would probably smah it to smithereens if it was plugging up a passage as soon as the motor got pressure.

God I should of crushed that little basterd when I had the chance!

I did see a couple flying around about an hour after it crawld into there...hopefully he was one of them. If not then I am not going to worry about it...well until it becomes a problem

If dumbasses can eat all kinds of bugs on Fear Factor and not have any problems then Im sure your engine will tear it all to hell and keep on truckin.

Where the hell are you working on this thing that bugs are flying around and getting into your engine? Not to mention you went all Steve Irwin and decided to observe it rather than squash it like this

Maybe the bug has special goo....

If you pick up an unexpected 20rwhp or your ET drops a little too much, I want to come over and get some bugs too.

Obtw, I spun #6 rod last week and as all my friends looked in disbelief at the last gasps of my motor I calmly thought deja vu and then I remebered the Infamous Lithium thread. No worries, forged bottom end on the way with, 9in ford rear, and suspension upgrades. I got into the 11's with the stock bottom end, and the 10 bolt rear lived. Anybody need a 10 bolt?

Ill take those 3.23s

It's not entirely clear where the bug went "into the head" - I don't know exactly what you were doing - intake manifold off & bug crawled into port?

In any case my opinion is:
Engine = fine
Bug = dead!!!

UNLESS the bug was dragging a paper towel into your engine!

Best of luck to you. You above anyone else should have a sense of humor about this stuff by now...

After reading your post with 1,000,000 responses, I just imagined that bug dragging a paper towel into your engine before you could kill it.

I can tell ya one thing... a bug is NOT going to do ANYTHING to your engine... It will be instantly vaporized... Leave it alone, let it enjoy it's oily journey until you scorch it's *** when you start it up. Watch him sit, relaxing on a counterweight in the bottom end and get pinched between the weight and the block... that'd be the end of that... You're worried about nothing. =)
