The MS3 will perform better at the track, on a dyno and in a race. However, the Torquer 2 will maintain some street manners and still make good numbers. There are a lot of members on here running both cams in their daily drivers and from what I've read the MS3 guys swear it's a fine DD with a good tune.

I was actually suprised how tame my MS3 acted and sounded when compared to my old F14. I still have some pretty bad surging down low sometimes though .

I have the MS3. I dig it. I drive an A4 and it behaves descently. Sounds awesome too. Pulls super hard up top.

I like my torquer 2. I dont want to spin my stockl short block up that high. Since my car is a dialy driver, i wanted to keep my low end torque and not trade it all for power up top.

you don't have to spin the ms3 high to make power, mine shifted at 6400 and went 11.7 on a full weight car with a mail tune. the ms3 sounds nasty and when tuned PROPERLY it will drive like stock

Shifting it at 6400 leaves much on the table. And I dont know how you could possibly say a cam like this drives like stock. Maybe a good tune can have a big cam driving surprisingly well considering the size, but saying it drives like stock just isnt accurate, IMO. Maybe its different for us M6 guys, as we get a bunch of bucking without the torque converter to buffer it out.

torque converter has nothing to do with it, scott my tuner used his wideband and had my a/f down to a dime. i could lug it around 1200 rpm's with the converter locked up no surging what so ever. it all about a/f, you nail that and it fixes all.
