Anybody have big cams with milled heads
I have a cam in now. I would like to go bigger. The heads are LS1 heads milled .015 with 2.02in & 1.59ex valves. The cam I have now is 224/224 563/563 114.9 lsa. I would like to replace the cam with SLP 236/236 590/590 112 lsa. Thanks

personally i dont care slp products when it comes to internals or blocks, but there is formula that i will allow to know for sure on the p to v clearance. if your current springs are weak then you will want the replace them because even if the cam of your choice has clearance its possible to still hit a valve in the high rmps due to the fact of a weak spring not be able to pull the valve up as it should.

it's the duration that is the problem with p/v clearance, not lift.
with those cam specs and head specs you would have to check, and my guess is you would need to flycut. my $.02

Its bigger then the one you mentioned in your 1st post. If I were you, I would make some phone calls to some of the vendors here on this site and ask and see what they say. They might have done something close to what you are wanting to do. Im sure at the end, they will say it might be close and just check it. But to check it, you would have to pull your heads, which you stated you did not want to do. Thats the only "sure" way.
