Default CheaTR on stock manis?

I've been looking into a cheaTR cam for my 99 z28 with a catback and lid.

It looks like just what I want out of the car/cam. What I'd like is something pretty mild that makes power all in the stock band and adds few more RPM of working powerband. If this isn't best cam for me also feel free to speak out I've just gone on this cam from lots of searching and others input.

Down the line I would like to turbo the car do tons of work etc but now just a mild build like 400ish behaving like stock. Next after cam would be heads either 5.3 or LS6 *I'd read and get what would be better *

I'm getting ready for my next step either set of long tubes *catted* or the cam.

Why I'd like to do the cam now is because my motor has 83K on it might as well tear apart things that could be weak links before I tear off 2 exhaust manis with no problems.

How will the CheaTR cam behave on stock exhaust manis? Should I even bother or do my bolt ons first?

Will work perfect with stock manifolds. I think this was even a design consideration if I'm not mistaken. It doesn't have very much overlap so manifolds won't kill it. There is atleast one car that I know of that made 390rwhp through manifolds and converters with this cam.

Long live the cheaTR cam!

how do you think this cam would work in an ls2 6.0 liter application? say w/ catback, k/n and ported tb? thinkin of puttin it in a 05 gt0 6 speed.

I've also taken an interest in the cam. If you haven't searched yet, DO IT. There's so many threads on that particular cam Lots more information about it compared to other similar cams.

I made 411 rwhp with CheaTR cam and stock manifolds, stock cats, and SLP dual dual catback...all on motor. This was even with a #7 cylinder that was about to go south.

Patrick,
That dyno graph on your website of your car with your current cam is sick man!!!!! That 224 cam is making plenty of touque all through the entire RPM range. Ive read your threads about the torque cam but I just now seen the dyno graph and that is a badass setup. I bet that car pulls hard everywhere on the street. You have a good sound clip of your ride?
