Default Engine shaking on cammed cars

How bad does your engine shake? I have a TR 224 and my engine shakes more than I think it should. Maybe my engine mounts are toast? Can this be tuned out through the computer?

My 232/234 comp cams with Prothane mounts shakes very little. It gives you some vibration idling thru the whole vehicle but the engine itself moves very little.

850 idle M6.

My stock cam car was shaking too until I put poly engine mounts in a month ago. No more shaking now.

Yea, mine shakes too with the TR224 so I've been looking into some new motor mounts.

I have an F13 and the car doesn't shake too bad, but when you pop teh hood you can see the motor rocking side to side. I'm on stock motor mounts.

the shaking is due to the **** stock engine mounts, it is always a good idea to change mounts when doing a cam swap. most folks don't but it is a good idea.
the rocking/shaking is NOT a good thing- think of it this way, if the engine is moving it takes power to move it, that power is not getting to the wheels(might not be much but..), more importantly with significant movement of the engine your drive train is being put in a bind and premature failure can result. yep, stock motor mounts suck w/ a cam. I suspect that is what caused my a/c line to break.... sucks.

After my cam swap my motor would move nearly and inch in either direction at idle! My stock mounts were toast....it's pretty solid now after poly motor mounts.
