Default MTI C2 cam

Anybody running it?

224/224 581/581 112

Seems like a good cam for stock heads, but I was wondering if anybody is running it, what kind of power they are making.

Tried searching, nothing viable comes up. Thanks in advance.

Feel free to throw out any other suggestions. Looking for a decent cam to run with stock heads.

I had the c2,at the time it was a great cam. drove like stock, had a nice mellow cam rumble, and made good power. but,you can put a bigger, more powerful cam in your car and it will drive and just the same. the LG-motor sports g5x1 cam is bigger, but still small by todays standards. it will give you more power and drive just as nice. goodluck to ya.

Thats awful close to the TR224 and I know there are threads on that cam in this section as well as some pretty impressive numbers in the cam only dyno section

I have the C1 cam and love it. I don't think they even make it anymore but it has great street manners and very good power. See my sig for #'s and specs on the cam. You can go bigger but if it is a street car primarily I think you will be happy with that cam.

My cam is extremely close at a 224-228 581-588 114 LSA
Mail order tune and 3:73's I trap between 118-120 and run 11's with crappy launches.

i'de go bigger. i went small at first and now i keep going bigger and bigger. i went small because i thought the bigger cams could not drive as great as a small cam could.i was wrong. if your going small because you think the bigger cams will shake the car more,be louder or not drive as great for a daily driver, your wrong;that DON'T feel much different at all. every time i go bigger i'm impressed in how the driveability dont change, only the power does. the g5x1 cam will give you another 10-15hp pver the c2 and it will drive just as nice.(yes if you go too big like a t-rex it will not drive as good) sorry to but in again,if you want to go small thats cool,i just want you to know you can go more, get more and drive just as good.
be cool,mike c.

Thanks for the info Mike and feel free to butt in all you want man. Throw out any comments you want to share.

I was looking small just for the fact that I'm staying with stock heads. My round trip to work daily is under 2 miles, but I still want something thats going to be reliable and has decent road manners.

Default Mti R1

I just installed a MTI R1 in my LS1. After the tune I'm very happy.

I was afraid that I'd loose a lot of bottom end but it feels great!

BTW, I have 4:10's also.
