Default Custom Cam Suggestions

I know that their are a million different threads that ask the which cam is best for me question, and I've looked at a ton of them. I was thinking about a 228/228 on a 114 LSA, can some cam guru tell me if this will be a good cam for me with long tube headers, stock heads and LS1 intake and 4.10 gears or is it to big? Should I go for a 224/224? I need to drive my car on the street everyday. Would the 228 need a tune just to be able to drive to work? Would a 228/228 on a 116 LSA be a super stealth killer cam? Will XER lobes to hard on Comp Beehive springs? I'll definately be using hardened push rods. Thanks for your time.
AJ

Oh and does anyone know where i can get a custom grind cam cheap? Can I go to comp directly or do they not deal with individuals?
Thanks

What kind of tuning did you need? How does it sound? What power numbers, or track times, did you get with this cam?
thanks

On modern day dynamometers horsepower is a calculated value. It's important to remember the dyno measures torque and rpm and then from these calculates horsepower

TR224 on a 112lsa.that's the best street/strip cam out there for drivability and performance.and yes,you will need a tune to get the most out of it.

224/230 is a great cam. I wouldnt suggest the 244/248 cam for what you are looking for though.
