Default cubic inches vs power

lets talk about cubic inches and the amount of gains you see in power

lets put two motors together one a 364 and a 408 both have same setups but difference is 44 cubic inches now i know roughly thats a gain of 40 hp if i relate to the mustang sene. now what do you think honestly an dhow much more torque

i know thta one combo would be effiecent well other would be tamed but just wanting and idea on what to figure in on things

If both set-ups used the same parts, I would call one efficent and one choked. Both setups require diffrent heads/cam/exaust/intake, but If you want to know basic gains per cubic inch, I believe the figure is like 1.25 rwhp per cubic inch in a efficent setup.

Where you see real power gains is under the curve with a stroker. Take my motor for example. When I was running heads and cam on my stock displacment motor, I was making about 415 rwhp and 36X RWTQ at 6800 RPM and that's PEAK. On the stroker, at 3500 RPM the motor was already making 420 lb ft with 3500 RPM still to go to redline. And it just gets better from there. peak was 485 RWTQ / 520 RWHP

408's average in the 470-550 rwhp range. This all depend on driveline though.

At wheel or crank? Just wondering, almost chose them for my 408 build.
