ex:
i want this to be my compression ratio for a 350 but i don't know what head size to use
desired comp ratio: 11 to 1
number of cylinders: 8
bore: 4
deck height: 9.025
piston volume: 4.5 cc
piston comp height: 1.56
rod length: 5.7
stroke: 3.48
head volume: ?
gasket bore 4.166
gasket compressed thickness: .041
the head needed to make this desired compression ratio is 61.8 cc
now this will work on not only missing head volume but on any missing parameter as long as the other parameters are known. in the case of head gaskets both can be unknown but all you will get is volume if both are missing.
ok for our problem. i can get the bore sizes of both the LS1 and 6.0L engines head gaskets if you guys can tell me with 100% assureness of what the head sizes of both the LS1 and 6.0 L and what each compression ratio are. i did this to the LM7 piston when i first found out that the pistons were dished. once i knew what the gasket measurement were (measured by the machine shop guy of mine), i ran what i know in the program and it told me it was about 8 cc if my memory is correct. so just tell me what i need to know and i can get the answer in a matter of seconds.
