Why do you want a LS1 hot cam?

I would reccomend going with a custom grind or something else..... ie MS3, MS4, TR cam

Contact Ed at FTI... He makes some MEAN custom grinds!

forget the hotcam, thats so old school and very little gain. theres tons of better cams out there. go with the AFR 6016 224/228@114 cam.

I don't think the hotcam is a bad cam, it fills a niche. There are pros and cons to every cam, so know what your needs are, what your goals are, and what compromises you are willing to make.

It definately provides more than "very little gain". Search the LS1/LS6 Internal Engine section for "hotcam results", there is one thread where everyone posted their results and you'll see some good numbers.

I would deffinately look elsewhere in a cam than a hotcam. When I first got my LS1 and I was new to the game, I really wanted a hotcam untill I did a TON of reading on this website I found out that there are a ton of better all-around cams than a hotcam. Though they do sound cool.

Yeah My cam is a comp 224/228 ,581/.588 on a 114 lsa and I cant really tell that much of a difference in sound, and I drove the car untuned for a year with an automatic transmition! So honestly you can run huge cams in daily driven cars. My next cam is gonna be bigger because I kick myself for not going bigger. Drivability is all in the tune.
