Your cam is on a TR lobe, so it will be more driveable than the 231/237 on the Lunati lobe.
The more aggressive the lobe, the better the driveability, the more usable the torque curve.
The TSP 231/237 will be easy on springs, make great peak hp numbers with proper intake and exhaust mods, lope very hard, but it will be harder to tune and be less driveable and make less usable torque than a cam on an XER lobe.

its all in the tune, i know of a couple people that daily drive the TREX and a bunch that DD the MS3 with like stock drivability. So if its stalling out and dying than u need a new tuner, its not the cam. and i LOVE my torquer. I daily drive it and it drives like stock, except for the choppy idle which i love. Look into the torquer

Most of my driving is more or less highway driving.
I drive mine daily in the spring and summer in Louisville KY. Combination interstate (11 miles) and urban streets (3 miles). Like others have posted, its all in the tune. I have stop and go on both the interstate and in downtown Louisville, no problems. I can drive it anywhere. Flip the A/C on or whatever just like a stock car, no worries about stalling or dying. Pick the cam you want based on intended use of the car and find a good tuner. Granted it took me some time to tune my '98 (perhaps a little more finicky that later model years) but its worth it.

I daily drive the MS3. In 19 months it has died twice, and both incidents were entirely my fault. It does surge at idle from time to time, but it's nothing major and typically only occurs at idle shortly after starting the car.

Have you considered the 233/239? Same basic idea as the 231 but a little bigger and has more aggressive lobes....

I'm building a stock dis. ls1 for my 92 and I was going to go with a texas giant and some stage 2 "maybe stage 3" 243 heads. I'll be useing the victor jr. e.f.i. intake with a tb elbow and a 90mm tb. With a 150 shot it should run 9.70's-10.0's. I'm going with a 6 speed and plan to drive the car on the street at least two times a week. "I drive 50-75 miles a day." But on the same token, I'm the kind of person that can never get enough "two runs going 11.0's with the old 350 and I needed more".

I've got their 235/240 and it drives great, haven't had any problems starting it or driving it around town.

I was pretty happy with my 228R on 112 when the car was a daily driver except in heavy traffic with the stock 3.42 gear. My car has a choppier idle at 850RPM than the red vette link someone had earlier that was on 114 (it may have been idling high). Other than slow moving traffic the car drove great. I still enjoy the cam, although now that it is not my DD I wish I would have gone bigger like a 233/239. You will enjoy whatever you get.

With all the great cams and cam brands out there, what made you limit it to these 2 cams?

Yep. It was one that for some reason showed up as being new. No big deal since my response is still relevant.

I DD the 231/237 on a 112. Its a little rough with 3.42s but definitly doable. I definitly want to get 4.10s asap though.
