Your opinion on these two cams
Texas Speed 228/228 .588/.588 ( 228R ) and Texas Speed 231/237 .598/.595
Im looking for a cam with a noticable lope and power increase , but also keep street manners. This car will be driven 5-6 days out of the week. I was wanting everyone's opinions on these cams and and cams similar in sizes.

i have the choice of 112 or 114 lsa on both. I would love to hear the chop , but i would rather have a really stable Idle . If i were to go with the 114 would i still hear a noticible lope? and would 112 hurt the idle that bad or if any?

I have a 228 and it sounds good and its fast but If I had a second chance I would have gone bigger. I have 2 videos if you want to see how it sounds. http://video.ls1tech.com/manage.aspx

I dont want to sit in traffic and have to worry about it dying ... thats what i meant for a stable idle .. Choppy and lopey is what i would like. I just want the car to be able to be driven without worries of it stalling out or dying. the car will be driven 5 times a week on average. choppy , lopey with a little roughness is fine... i would love for it to be stable enough to handle occassional stop and go traffic. Most of my driving is more or less highway driving.

Both cams listed have seen their day come and gone.
The only reason anyone should run the Luntati lobe based 231/237 is for valvespring longevity.
The 228 is on a Comp XER lobe. If you're running an aggressive lobe, might as well step up to a newer LSK grind with higher lift and make more power.
Driveability is as good as the tune you run and the complimenting rear gear out back (and stall if you have an auto).

It will make more usable power than the 231/237 due to its use of XER lobes.
But what about its drivability traits? Will it behave on the street? not stall out and die?

my cam(in sig) is not a TSP but it is pretty much the same size, and i love it. it sounds very mean, and very lopey it is on a 112 and it idles just as good as the stock one did, it is very driveable mine is my daily driver i have had no problems with it. but as i have seen many people on here say it is all in the tune. so i would say the 231/237 on a 112.
