Default LS1 stock valves...size?

Hey all,

Just curious of the stock valve head diameters from an LS1.

I've been told stocks are 1.90 and 1.57, is this correct?

Also, does anyone have some good condition stock valves layin around they'd like to get rid of?

Thanks in advance!

well back when I went to school the value of the 0 is nothing when its the last number after the decmil.
So 1.0000000 =1
So $10=10.00
So 2.000=2
So 1.550=1.55

so, back on topic, anyone have 6 stock LS1 exhaust valves?

I reeeeally need 6 of these buggers, and the stealership wants $20 bucks a valve....fock that

Also, I need 6 stock 5.3L intake valves (the 1.89"s), so if anyone has ported/installed the 5.3's and has the stock intakes from them, I need 6 of those as well.

Sorry about the off-topic, blown_gs.

Seriously check with shaun carter at SMC performance. I usually hit him up via email. valvegod at aol dot com. PM me if this goes against sponsor rules and the mods delete it. Or if you have a part number, try SDPC as theyre invariably cheaper than the stealership.

no worries on the off-topic...it happens, and I am often the one guilty lol.

Thanks for the info, I'll try getting ahold of Shaun. Do you think he'd have the 5.3 valves too?

Thanks.

Yeah, if he dosnt have them in stock, he can order them for a good price. Sometimes he's got the best prices, sometimes not. Could also check the parts wanted forum. And one last option... Contact any of the sponsors that sell ported 5.3L heads. They pull out the 1.89" valves and replace them with ~2.05 aftermarket ones. They might have a pile of useless old valves laying around.

yep, I know that. That's why I checked here. Figured the tech forum gets a little more exposure than the Classifieds, and needed to ask on sizes anyway (was waiting on a response from a vendor about proper sizes).

What is that SDPC site you mentioned above?

I called myself a wise ***. All Im saying is to not take my post seriously when I said 2 and 2.000 are different. I was kidding around. I though the sarcasm of my original post would be glaringly obvious. Were you tragically born without a sense of humor? Im not attacking you or criticising you, im just explaining that I do know 2 and 2.000000000000 are the same thing.

Now by my count, Ive contributed far more useful information to this thread than you have. All you seem to want to do it bust my ***** from different directions first by saying that 2.000 = 2.00, which I agree with. Then you go on to say I insulted eveyone by giving the incorrect answer... Well which is it? The answer of 2.000/1.550 is as valid as any of the others, even though it was delivered in a tongue-in-cheek manner. I never called you a wise guy, nor did I come out and call you names. I believe you have the honor of being the first to start name calling and profanity, a last resort when you have no leg to stand on.

Ive got one more piece of useful advice to contribute, this time directed at your, Jorge. Do not, under any circumstances, turn you television to the "comey central" channel. The misinformation on that station is just appalling!

Now if you want to continue this pissing contest, shoot me a PM. No need to clutter this guys thread with your trolling.

Blown_GS - Once again, I apologize for the off topic content. If youre done with this thread, I suggest you as one of the mods to delete it.
