Default 400 rwhp with this setup? Or reverse split?

Hey guys, couple questions. With the mods in my sig, I dyno'd 343 rwhp and 355 rwtq. My car is my daily driver 12 months out of the year so I need a relatively stock idle.

I'm thinking I want to go with an LS6 cam, upgraded valvetrain, and a set of ported 243 casting heads. Would this setup be good for 400rwhp?

Some people have recommended a split reverse cam for lots of power and stockish idle. Would this be a better choice? What differentiates this type of cam from a traditional cam?

Thanks for all the help. Any advice/experiences are welcome.

Will

I definately think you will need a bigger cam.
Stock02-04 Z06's dyno around 350-360 rwhp, add ported heads.....just about there, but I would STILL get a bigger cam if you really want to make sure you hit 400rwhp.

In my opinion the best everyday street driven car that also sound good is the TR224. I makes good power all thru the rpm range.

If you go with a bigger cam you MAY be able to hit 400 RWHP cam only. Even doing this, you can still retain almost all driveability. With a solid cam and a good set of heads, you could see 420-440 RWHP.

Yup, hve the TR224 here, excellent DD - see my sig for the dyno numbers.

I went with the 114 LSA for less lope, more power under the curve vs. 112 LSA that tends to spike and lope more. Either one tho, a great choice!

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I'll look into the TR224. Sounds like I may be able to get 400 rwph from just the cam alone with bolt-ons. If I could keep the stock heads, that'd be awesome.

I have ported 243's and a 224/228 on a 113. I DD it and its f'in HOT out.. no issues. I just wait for the car to warm up to the 150 mark before i put it in gear (I have dual valve springs)

I made *** tons of power..

The numbers in my sig were on a different set of heads. Now its 409whp SAE w/ cats and 62cc compression. I need a 90/90 setup now to open her up back into the 420's.
