I think it was Chevron that is refining their own Group 2 mineral oil, pretty cheap too. Can't go wrong with Havoline, Castrol, motorcraft, valvoline oils.

Until switching to synth in our cars, always swore by Havoline. My pop put over 200k miles on 2 diffrent Chevy trucks running it (work trucks).

The guy he worked for/with got similar results from Valvoline in the other trucks they owned.

Only real issues I've ever heard of was from Quaker State they tried in a couple of the trucks.... seemed they were the only trucks they ever had problems with

Exxon (with the tiger on it) or Castrol GTX.

Both are good choices.

Natural oil extracted from the earth. Synthetic is man made. It is called "dino" because it is from compressed plant, animal, and other source material over considerable periods of time. Possibly dinosaurs...have you ever seen the Sinclair Oil logo ?

Havoline is supposed to be great due to the high moly content. Personally, I say use whatever decent oil is on sale, and change regularly (5k is good for a beater). Or use the fully synthetic wal-mart SuperTech oil. It's had great analyses run.
Check bobistheoilguy [dot] org for some crazy oil junkie info.
