Default Spray anything on cometics?

Just curious if I should spray anything on my cometic head gaskets. I've seen people using copper spray or hylomar(sp). Just wanted to see what the popular opinion is now.

I've installed both sets of mine with a light coat of copper spray gasket. Haven't had any leaks thus far. Only heard of leaks with people who've installed them dry. It's up to you though.

I install all the mls gaskets with a light coat of copper spray, and never have any problems.

Different platform here, but I run cometics, and have only had problems when installing them dry.

No problems whenever I've used copper spray, which has been 3 times now.

Used SDE Titans with std ARP studs...they recommend installing dry. DO NOT! Started seeping before start up!!! Quite a few people are now using Yami Bond #4 or other good sealant before installing these or other aftermarket gaskets. Removing and going w/ L-19 studs and GM MLS w/ copper spray...this better work!!!

I used copper spray on my .40 cometics and I have had no leaks. My brother did the same thing on his 04 Ls1 gto with the .40 cometics and he has had no leaks, so I would definaly spray some copper spray on them rather than take a chance and maybe have to pull the heads again or even worse ruin your bearings with coolant.

if i tell you, it wont be a secret.

i know what you mean tho, its that yammabond stuff, but it makes a mess, and my secret wepon is working, so its for sure you can make 800-1000 rwhp on spray without lifting the heads!!

i charge $50 a head for anyone who wants to know the secret. make checks payable to NOYZEE racing. lol
