Default Whats the biggest cam for a 346?

Yeah I have been thinking about going with a pretty radical cam for my motor since I will be staying all n/a. I was just wondering what is the biggest cam for a ls1/ls6 motor? Trex I guess? I was looking at the tsp giant but that seems to be for big cubes....or can that be used in a 346? Any imput is greatly appricated guys. I know the cons of big cams so that information will not be needed. Thanks again.

Before you go for a cam, what else do you have as far as mods? Auto or m6?

Sorry I should have listed my mods. I have full boltons, head/cam. I also going to be getting some pistons with valve reliefs so that ptv clearance with a big cam will not be an issue. I also have a m12 transmission.

Just because you can fit it doesnt mean it will work for you.

I'd recommend to you an MS4, its a max effort stock cube cam, and it will clear stock heads (if that is your plan) cause after that you're running REALLY tight piston to valve. The texas giant would only give you maybe 5-10 more peak hp, but at the loss of too much midrange on a stock cube motor

I'm pretty certain that is the name for the transmission found in the C5 Z06.

Yeah I already have the ms3 so going with a ms4 would kinda but a lot of work for not much difference. M12 is the transmission type for a z06(6spd). What about the T-rex? I have heard good things about that. Is that about the biggest anyone should go with stock cubes?

Well I think you could call Thunder and ask them for a custom cam. Im sure they would help. There number is on the side------>
Also, Iknow people always say that bigger isnt better, and I agree, but my buddy went with a t-rex and stage 2 head and they work oout GREAT. Great numbers..for an auto. So just try out different combos or call Thunder if your like me and like there grinds.
