The bigger you go in duration and lower the lobe separation angle LSA the more rough it will idle. Get a 224 cam. It wont sound quite stock, but will gain decent power.

Hope this isn't a thread highjack, but I am wanting the same thing from a cam for my 05 GTO. I understand the duration has a big effect on idle quality and speed, what I want to know is the effect of a higher lift. I am considering a cam with the following specs:220/222/581/581 LSA115. This car is blown with a Maggie. Other than needing a stiffer valvesprings, what drivability and durability effects would that much lift have on the car. Thanks

Arizona Power and Sound has Maggie specific camshafts. Call them.

Here's another option.

"99-TR-CHEATR-CAM Thunder Racing Custom "CheaTR" Camshaft - 214/230 .601/.578 117 LSA. Off Idle-6800 RPM Power Band. Broad power range. Works well with stock exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. Stock like idle. Minor tuning required on automatic transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Double valve springs and titanium retainers required for this cam. $389.99"

FYI I'm running a TR 224/114 and you can tell there is a cam in the car but it's not real noticeable. This cam does give pretty good performance gains though. Don't go any bigger than this if you want to remain close to stock sounding or be able to pass emissions.

I've got a VHP 210/218 at .551/.551 on a 112 with less than 500 miles on it I'll sell you for $250.00. It had a lite choppy idle and made good power excellent torque. Its a little bit bigger than a ZO6 cam. I changed over to a TSP Torquer V2 for more midrange.
