Overlap determines the idle chop. higher the number , rougher the idle .

This is the post that answers the question. The more overlap, the nastiest.
Also as mentionned previously as well, the type of exhaust does affect the note as well (chambered, spiral, catback, duals, straight thru etc.....)

Yeah, Idle setting can make a big difference. The lower, the meaner sounding.

Gosh by that calculation my 231/237 cam is 10 degree overlap. I think it lopes pretty good but at the same time the TREX is 2.5x as lopey. I think mines just right

Going by actually hearing the different camshafts, I'd say G5X4. Going by the amount of overlap, T-REX has the most at 25 degrees. G5X4 only has 18 degrees.

boy I wish i had a video camera so i could give you guys a sound clip of the t-rex through straight pipes, ricers dont appreciate the sound very much as a matter of fact I think some of them **** themselves at the stop light lol
