Are you kidding? $25 for a set of LS6 heads even bare is an insane deal. I think there's something up with this. Make sure the casting number on the heads is 243. Your stock valves will also work with those heads and you will gain some significant power over your '98 heads. Where did you find this deal?

No that isn't the casting number, the casting number would be right on top of the head above where that number is, and it looks like it was ground off.

The casting number can also be found in the numbers where the springs go. Sounds a little fishy. Wouldnt do it unless you have seen them in person. Just my .02

I believe that must be a misprint.Just sounds to good to be true. But I've got a new set of 241's I'll be taking off a new corvette crate motor next week I'll let you have for $250.00 + shipping. 0 miles ,I'm taking them off a 2001 Vettte crate motor I bought from MIZFIT MOTORSPORTand putting a set of PRC Stage 1's from TSP. I was wondering what kind of #s your putting down now with stock 98 heads. I couldn't get but 350rwp and I am running the Torquer V2. You would still need center bolt valve covers.

Just remember since you are a perimeter bolt style head right now. You will need to get centerbolt valve covers and new coil pack brackets if you go with a 317, 853, 241, 243....or what ever head.

The head in the picture is an 853 head. The last three digits of the numbers are the casting numbers. 853 castings ended in both 853 and 855.

Definately not LS6...LS6 heads have D shaped exhaust ports..these will not yield anymore HP for you
