So I just found THIS in my motor...
So..Should I just have this reseated with a new intake valve or... should I just venture into some new heads? Money IS an object. Is the piston damage a large issue? Thanks guys.

Well. Apparently so. But I have no clue how that got in there either. I had done an intake manifold swap and about two days later, I heard a snap in my motor and it started running real rough. Had to get towed home. I feel pretty cool right now.
But anyway... What should I do? could I get this sent out to be polished and have a new valve seat isntalled? There's no visible damage to the valve itself but I'm not going to risk it. Where could I get both the heads ported and polished with new seats and valves? Any dollar figure?

Or since money is an issue:
Some local NAPA stores have machine shops. Typically they have guys who have done machining forever.
New seat: $20
New valve: under 20 IF needed, inspect and check for straight.
Cut valve job as close as possible to others: $25?
Maybe another 30 if you needed a guide done too.
Head gaskets, done.
If you are concerned about the piston, touch up the sharp edges with a dremmel or aluminum stone on a die grinder; less is more, just remove anything that would cut you.
For 75 to 125, you're on the road.

i think you can get some bare 243s for about 400 bucks, just transfer all the springs and valves over to them and presto=an extra 15-20 hp.or you can pick up a set of stock 241 heads for around 100-150 bucks complete.

Well. All of these are great ideas. I just called a good friend at a local dealership. He recommended I call this LT1/LS1 performance NUT who works a few towns over. I'm going to give him a call. See if he can throw some new seats and valves in both my heads. Also, I'm sure he'd be able to touch up my banged up combustion chamber and intake port.
Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate your help...especially since this occurred due to some stupid mistake I made. Use this as a warning to all novice do it your selfers....Make sure nothing falls into your intake ports!!!
