Looking for unbiased opinion on cam choice
I have been debating the right cam for quite a while and I think I have picked the one for me. It`s the TR 227/224 114 cam. I`d like to get some opinions from anyone on this board about my setup with that cam. I talked with TR and they seemed to think it would be a good choice, but I want a more unbiased opinion on it as well.
My car is an 26,000 mile 01 ws6 a4. Stock 10 bolt with 3.23`s for now. Will go to 12 bolt with 3.73`s soon. Pacesetter LT`s, ory, magnaflow catback, Yank S/S 3600, P/P TB, SLP lid and bellow.
The heads I intend to run are 853`s that have been CNC`d and hand blended, milled .018 and with .042 head gaskets. Trying to keep the car on pump 93 octane and make good power for the street and the 1/8 mile track.
What do you all think?

That sounds to me like it will be a good performing street cam. What do they claim the power range is. You may be able to go a little bigger with your stall but with more duration you start to sacrifice driveability.
