Default Please help! GM can't find the part I need!

Hi All, Please read all!

I need to buy an oil pick up tube bolt for the f-body oil pan pick up tube. I've included pictures as well. The f-body pick up tube's bolt is on the opposite side of the bolt for the corvette's pick up tube bolt. The dealership cannot find this part because it appears that they have the number only for the Corvette bolt. If someone could please give me the dimensions of this bolt, it would be most appreciated and the sooner the better! Really need to find this tomorrow (Wednesday). Thanks a lot in advance!!!

Craig

Whipsrx7,

I'm pretty sure it's the same sized bolt used on the 2 plastic covers between the tranny and oil pan...it's got a 10mm head...not sure of the threads...you gould easily remove one of them and try it out.

arp sells them i think, or atleast it comes in a kit with the external main cap bolts. if mine was still out id measure it , but its not a fun bolt to deal with.

According to my parts list, the Camaro uses an M6x1x20 (GM PN 11516398). Tell your GM guy that its listed in Group 0, 98-02 Engine ***'y : Oil pump/pan/related parts.

Sounds like my local GM parts guys. They never want to look up a bolt. You should be able to find that at Home Depot or Pep Boys.
