This is the internet. Lots of different gains with the same product. I would like to see them on the same car.

Yea, I have new springs in her now. They have less than 5,000 miles on them. I'll probably go ahead and get some more when I get the heads, as it's a little ways off. Thanks for the help guys

Do they work on 402s?

Here's my mods last time I dyno'd:
LS2 402
Patriot Stage 3 heads
1 3/4" LT headers
Random Tech hi-flow cats and x-pipe
GHL Magnum exhaust
238/244 .61x 112LSA Comp XE-R cam
LS6 intake manifold
stock TB
stock MAF

I made only 450rwhp, 433rwtq.
The tuner listed the 3 biggest problems as:
1. Patriot heads. Should have got AFR 225
2. Cam too big
3. LS6 intake and stock TB. Should get FAST90.

What do you think I can gain by swapping to PRC heads, leaving the cam and intake alone? Can I re-use my valves and valve springs from the Patriots to save money? They've been on <1000 miles.

Thanks,
Miles

actually the PRC stage 1's would hold you back as well... Your cam is not too big, but the other 2 problems will hold you back quite a bit!

Just to add to the confusion, we've seen some great local results from the Livernois LS6 heads.

since the prc is stock valves and patriot can custom make you stock valved ls6 castings why not buy (by calling and negotiating) bare ported heads and put on his stock valves and his current performance springs with new seals and valve luck if needed? wouldn`t that be a good money saving idea?

Guys checkout the results from dyno testing with the PRC stg1 ls6 heads in the new issue of GM High Tech! I think you'll notice those PRC LS6 heads making REAL close to the same power as the big money heads installed on a bigger cube ls2 in the exact same magazine!

I picked up 50hp at the wheels with my stg1 TEA head! They were a very nice peice of work, I would have gone with the PRC head but I was a little affraid at first because all of the hoopla with they had first coming out. Thats why I went with the tried and true TEA and they had great customer service. It helped a little also that I didnt have to pay sales tax since TEA was out of state
