nitrous vs. cams and gears
I am trying to decide what to do next to my vehicle and I am stuck at a crossroads. I am looking for getting the best time in the 1/4 so which one would make my vehicle the fastest and still keep it as a good daily driver. My vehicle is a daily driver and my mods so far are SLP CAI, SLP MAF, K&N, underdrive pulleys, longtube headers, ory, and a catback. Also I plan on putting in forged internals next summer with higher compression pistons. The two I have narrowed it down to are:
1. 4.30 gears and a Trex cam w/ new comp cams valve springs, cam gaskets, and a custom tune.
or
2. NX single nozzle system w/ automatic bottle heater, 15lb bottle, insulated bottle jacket, remote pressure gauge, toggle switch, remote bottle opener, RPM window switch, WOT switch, fuel pressure switch, purge valve and a custom tune.
Whcih one do you think will be better.
P.S.- Thanks ahead of time to anybody that responds.

It really all depends on your goals. If you want your car to drive just like it does now, but have a much lower number on it's time slip then go ahead and do the nitrous, just make sure your fuel pump is up to snuff. If you don't care about gas mileage and you want it to soud bad *** then go with something like a TRex, you may even want to look into an MS4. So do you want power all the time or do you just want it when you push the little red button. Do you have a nitrous refill station close to you? Do you want to pay for all the nitrous you will be using? Unless you have very good self control you can find your self at the refill station twice a week for the first month. Either way you'll be having lots of fun. Good Luck.

I havent installed a cam in this truck yet, but I did go with nitrous, only an 85 shot, but it definantly is fun. Push of a button and I have a little more oomph. Honestly though, why not just go with cam and gears, then once you have those forged internals install the nitrous? Otherwise if you abuse the spray(or if something goes wrong?) you may end up needing that rebuild in an inconvenient time, though the forged internals will lokely hold up no problem to the nitrous.
My two cents,
