I meant VC's. dee de dee Yah, just take out your pushrods and roll them on a slat surface to see if they are bent. If you bent the pushrods bad then you might have bent a valve and put a nice smiley on some pistons. I did a long time went from 3rd back to 2nd at 6800 rpms around 118. i put some nice smiley in my stock pistons. But my car would even run with the bent valves.
once opon a time i was cruicing about 45 or 50 mph in 4rd when i decided i was going to raise some hell and attempted to hit 3rd and hit 1st instean and luckily quickly clutched it and was fortunate enough to have straight p-rods still.the stockers bend very easily so if you are hearing a tick i would pull them to see,they may be bent worse than you think or may still be straight.
