Cracks on LS6 block????? Need info ASAP

Default Cracks on LS6 block????? Need info ASAP

Has enyone ever ran across cracks on the outside of the block where the head bolts go into???? Thanks guys

Some pictures would say a thousand words. Forced induction or N2O ever used?

I will have pics tomarrow.. I bought the block from a member here and come to find out it has several head bolt holes that are cracked on the outside.

Sounds like whoever had it before didn't make sure to clean out the holes for the head bolts before they torqued them down. Just imagine the pressure involved when torquing down a bolt in a hole that has some oil in it etc. Long story short the block is theoreticly junk. If the motor is already in the car I just say run it till she blows.

Get your money back if its recent / even feasible.
