What board is complete without the best exhaust thread.

My first topic ever on LS1.com back in Oct.2000 was just like this one.

All depends on what you want.

For something that isn't very loud, I like the SLP Dual-Dual. Of course my car has the Mufflex 3.5" with a Flowmaster race muffler. Some members have had shortie dual setups built, I've thought about it, possibly with oval pipe and mufflers. Others stick a bullet muffler off the end of the Y pipe and hang a turndown off of it. Others like being able to change plates in the Borla, or have a McCord power cutout/power plate valve. I've also heard the Hooker and Random Tech catbacks in person. The Loudmouth is pretty light, and loud of course

seriously, I have the Borla on my 2000 TA (need to do my sig..) and I love it. I still have the mid plate in it, but it's deep enough for me.. sounds good.

Any cat-back just don't install the muffler. Heck just keep stock pipes and just remove the muffler. Cost about $30 and it sounds awesome.

No exhaust thread would be complete without mentioning the loudmouth.

cheap, lightweight, great sound, effective.

I think the (insert whatever exhaust is on your car) is the best for no apperant reason at all other than I just shelled out a bunch of money for it. Does that about sum it up

I like Tri flo and Corsa for lookes. But the GMMG chambered has to be one of the best sounding. I like my Borla but for my next LS1 I will get something else.

I put on just a flowmaster muffler 2 chamber (single 3" in/out) and gained about a tenth. Cat-backs give any more than this guys? (and gals)
I just figured based on a buddy's lt1 figures, 70 bucks was cheaper for the bang than 300.

For performance and stealh I would go with either the SLP dual-dual or the 2OTL (which I have). the 2OTL flows well (straight thru design) and is very civil on a LS1.

Currently I have the B&B triflow. I'm pretty happy with the setup, but I think I'm going to do true duals this spring.

Do you have any sound clips of the ATR?

Grott headers, 3" X-pipe, 3" true duals, 3" bullets w/ turndowns.

I like the looks of the Mecham exhaust on a TA. Good for 17/17 rw hp/tq also over a WS6 exhaust. I've got a Mufflex 4" with the Spintech dual outlet laying in a corner of my garage

I run the stock catback on mine, screw exhaust systems! Just use a cutout at the track.
