Default What would be a decent catback???

My set-up will be a 382 All Bore, Stage 3 heads, MTI R1 cam, 1 7/8" Grotts Long tubes, and a custom 3" y-pipe.

I want to know what would be a good catback???

SLP Loudmouth, Borla, Corsa, Mufflex, or a custom set-up...

I do mind the sound, but I was planning on putting some bullet mufflers on the y-pipe. So I figure that will quiet it down a little bit.

Any recommendations???

Yeah I was leaning towards the Loudmouth. The cost is not that bad compared to the other cat-backs that I listed.

Thanks bro... <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

shortie duals or a 3.5" setup (Mufflex, I think MMS has one too) or even the real sewer pipe, the 4"

My 3.5 Mufflex was like 350+shipping, GPs are your friend <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

Yeah it worked out to like 375 or 385 with shipping. Fast Toys have GPs on them sometimes, this one was directly thru Mufflex though. Its a pretty heavy catback though, like 60 lbs. Shortie duals wouldn't have as much resonation at 2000-2500 though, but would probably cost more (two mufflers to buy instead of one, unless you go with bullets). Or you could just stick a bullet or a single chamber Flowmaster on the end of the Y pipe.

Decisions, decisions.

David Douberley (Spelling???) has them on his SS. He goes by the "The BeaSSt" on here. He has a stroker from ARE and he is the one that told me about them and told me about them...

Yes, I did live in Virginia for many years. From about 1975-1986. Then I moved to NC then to Colorado. I lived in Chesterfield county. Went to Manchester HS for awhile before going to NC.
Yeah, that run was made going to my grandparents house. They live in Winchester.
Virginia is one of my favorite places to live along with NC. Screw Colorado.

I just ordered a LM today...

Hope I like it. Dual/Dual sounds good but you have to be in the gas to get any sound.

anyone heard a LM with a Y pipe? deepen the sound any? TIA

I made up my mind, I am getting the loudmouth.

It is the least restrictive exhaust and it is the lightest weight also. I like the 3.5" slash tips and I plan to get those polished...

Thanks for everyone input... <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">
