Default Stage 2 head dyno numbers!!

Ok the head specs, real quick. 2.02 Ferrea valves, Isky springs, titanium retainers...were flowed at 308cfm at /575 lift. Ported by a guy in Houston named Shandy Price with EMT racing. VERY reasonably price heads.

Old dyno numbers were 385rwhp/372rwtq with these mods:

MACs with OR pipe, LS6 intake, exhaust dump over the axle, ASP, Ported MAF, MTI LID, MTI B1 cam, K+N.

Also was through a moser 12 bolt with 4.10's and 315 nittos.

After results with only 35 miles after the heads were added,

428.5rwhp/389.5rwtq

I'll try to scan the sheet later for you all but the torque gains don't seem all that great by peak but they awesome to look at on the entire rpm range. I think it would have pulled over 430rwhp after a cooldown but the battery went dead reset the computer..damn car had to relearn..oh well..next time.

I am EXTREMELY happy with the heads!

Wow...I thought the 385 w/MAC's and B1 was pretty impressive but 428 is most impressive.

Times?

What's the car like on the street?

Yep, your car was impressive dyno-wise before AND after the heads. Very nice! You might have to upgrade your log-in name to say "Smoke_ur_LS1" because Mustang aren't much competition now. LOL

Oh No! Tell me it cant be!
You mean there IS an alternative at a reasonable cost to the heads ported by "The Big Three"

Well the car on the street feels about the same under 4000rpm...but after that it starts pullin pretty hard! First and second WOT don't feel to much more powerful but when you get up in third and fourth you really feel it...now fifth, just pulls like a freight train.

On the dyno, the first pull saw a max of 27 degrees timing and the second 26. No KR and the O2's showed .910's. Still a little room for improvement in tuning.

vmoore, I don't know the compression ratio..whatever Ls1 heads are milled .025

TRACK TIMES TOMORROW!

WOW! What impresses me most is the before heads dyno numbers. I have never seen an LS1 dyno that high (on our dyno) with your mods. I've always said that some of these motors are awesome right from GM and others are pigs. You got a GOOD one .

Have fun with it!

Mikey I have been seeing few people regularly hitting 380-390 with a cam, headers and LS6 intake. Mine seemed about average and always has...now if I could get it to run 9's

Mark, you sure aren't wasting time are you lol That is a BIG power gain from stage II heads alone. Prolly alot has to do with the guy that did the head work for you. Looks like an awsome combo

StreetStalker, nope when I get mod it's like I can't wait to get the thing on and try it out!

Future plans? Well, really none, I do want to get the best time possible out of the combo..maybe some 11.3's or 11.2's at 123mph

Also, maybe a cage over the winter so I can quit worrying about getting kicked.
