I don't see why not...
You on a stock rear end...and do you plan on spraying right off the line??
If your a 6-speed you might have to make an extra shift at the end..into 5th

I'm running on a Moser 12Bolt so I'm not worrying about the rear. I plan on spraying off the line, but the whole thing is not having to shift into fifth. I should have phrased the question to "Can I run nitrous and 4.10's w/o having to shift fifth".

What size shot, and what kind of trap speed are your runnign without it, what is your rev limiter, and what tire type/size?

As long as you run a decent size tire, and can SAFELY run it up to 7K on the nitrous you should be fine. Otherwise yes, you would have to shift into fifth.
Maybe some day Strange and Moser will wake up and make 3:90's for the 12 bolt's. THAT gear is great for n/a and nitrous cars.

According to the gear/MPH calculator at www.f-body.org, with a 28" tire and 4.10 gears, 7000rpm would be 142mph... That's not accounting for tire growth (there will be some) or slippage (should be nil with a M6)... Even at only 6500, mph is still 132, so depending on how fast you think the car will go, 4.10's are probably a wise choice...
With my 4.33's, 28" tire, and 122mph trap speeds, I think my finish line rpms are around 6500 (I don't stare at the tach going through the traps).

Big Mike: Check out http://www.f-body.org/gears/ for all your mph/gearing/rpm needs. With a 28" tire it sounds like 4.11's will be perfect.

Damn I wished you lived closer, I'd love to see that work done. Are you doing it yourself? That damn 12.5 second timeslip I have just isn't good enough! <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">
What are you doing with your old heads/cam?

3.90's are available for 12 bolt rearends. Just not for stock rearends.
Big Mike, you will be fine, those slicks are tall.

I'm going to sell them when the time comes. Cartek will be doing the new work. I would love to go all MTI but its just not practical being they are 1,600 miles away. I know the Cartek guys well and trust them with my new setup!
