I doubt there's been much real world testing as far as these two heads against each other go, whats everyone's thoughts? Stage 1 LS1 with a good cam or stock '02 LS6 heads with the same cam as the ported LS1's. Anyone have any dyno or track numbers for stock LS6 heads with a cam?

I'd like some more info too. I seem to recall reading on LS1.com that a stage 1 head will still flow slightly better than a LS6. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Good question, I think the comparision was with an 01 LS-6 head. What about the '02's??

Also, given the exotic valves on the '02, could the LS-6 head springs hold up to the lift on a B-1 cam without floating the valves??

The 02 springs will handle more lift than the 01's, and the spring seat pressure is slightly higher <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

I don't think that LS6 spring would handle the lift of a B1 cam.

So does anyone know anymore info about the LS6 vs. stg. 1 heads? I'm sure one of our sponsors knows... <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">
