Default Looking for online Stage 2 H/C dyno graphs...

Can anyone point me to online Dyno graphs for Stage2 H/C LS1s?

Especially if they are MTI Stage 2 + The Hammer (C1) cam.

Thanks in advance!

Here is a link to my MTI Stage II H/C setup with the "B1" cam and LS6 intake. This same setup will be swapped over to a new nitrous ready short block. It should ROCK!!!!!!!!

What is the specs on your heads Big Mike? I looked at your dyno and at one point you are 50rwhp higher than my stock headed car with a T1 cam.. I do not have a cutout.. Running Macs with offroad pipe..

well...with the big$ LS6 heads, I had expected some benefits that I dont immediately see in the results. MTI keeps saying that the Mufflex is to blame, and so they are going to dyno it to find out with the exhaust off. They did however install 4.10s since though, and so I want them to dyno it with and without the mufflex attached.

I just think my engine is running out of breath prematurely, and Im not sure why....

The head specs are:

2.05 x 1.60. The heads were also milled down to give me 11:1 compression. I'm sending the heads back in January for MTI's new Isky Double spring setup. The new short block is going to have nitrous pistons and is getting a healthy dose of nitrous so I want to make sure my vavlesprings are stromg enough. Right now I have the 941's which were the only springs available back when I purchased my heads in March 2000.

Cool... I totally understand about the valvespring issue. I had ARE enlarge the spring seats and I run much larger diameter springs. They are dual springs as well. The # is in my sig.... I think they are great insurance since this car is mostly for road racing at this point.

I see everyones point. I too like to see what my money pays for.. LS6 heads are a huge investment. I purchased the 5.3L heads for my car and I am going with the bigger valves secondary to going with bigger motor later.. It is really odd to see so many different variables coming out of the same engine with very similar setups.. I see some cars dyno on the low end of 400rwhp and the power under the curve is very high. Some dyno high and the power under the curve is not that impressive. Then you get Big Mikes car and it dynos great all across the board. I reading one post and this individual picked up 43rwhp just from adding heads.. Then I have seen cars that dyno low and run like crazy at the track. Beating cars that dyno 30 to 40rwhp higher than them.. I just do not know..

Track times are no way to compare a heads and cam setup. Track times are waaaaay more dependant on driver, launch, tranny type, stall, elevation, weather, and car weight than with a 20hp difference between different heads/cam setups. People make fun of dyno #'s a lot, but for engine mod related comparison purposes, they are a lot more valid than ET's between cars.

Put my engine in Raughammers car and he'd do a low 11 easy....keep it in my car and I'll run a 12.4 with a 2.1 60' (and I'm perfectly fine with that).

LS6 heads should really only be used in larger CI motors. VM if you want bang for the buck do the MMS stage 1 setup, made 400rwhp na in my 2000 C5.

I guess I need to put my sig back in again.. Terry I am already at 390rwhp/380rwtq with T1 cam/Mac's/Ed Wright programming. I want more than a 10rwhp increase from heads.. My car with me in it weighs 3750lbs. I run the 1/4th in 12.28 at 116mph with a 2.0 60 ft time with DR's at 24psi... I granny shift to save the clutch. Dyno's were all done during 90 plus degree temps.. All track runs were done during the same temps.. Oh yeah, I run 3.42's out back and I have a M6.. Since the car was dyno'd I added MTI's pulley and home ported TB.. As my car sits she can run 11's with weight reduction and lowering the psi in the tires.. I am personally looking to pick up another 30rwhp out of a set of heads.. Then it is saving for the bigger motor.. The topic is not to promote MMS heads, but to find Stage 2 h/c dyno graphs..

Just pointing out that a good budget head will get you where you want to be. Your car really needs full slicks and gear more than heads, maybe you should do that first.

Here is my old, obsolete setup (almost 2 years ago)

MTI Stage 2 heads (2.055/1.60)
MTI T1 cam (yes, the first T1 ever!)
Stock 98 LS1 intake (no LS6 invented yet)
Airbox
Crank pulley
ported stock MAF
MAC headers w/offroad Y
3" cutout
3.73 gears
HPP3 Non-RFG tuning

Ran 11.61 @ 119 (1.72) with that setup at 3450 lbs

Tony

I agree with you Terry. Slicks and a different gear would put me in the mid 11's for sure. Not to mention the pop I would hear when the rear goes.. I still need to drop 200 plus lbs.. Does not help when I weigh 270lbs at 6 foot 7 inches.. Tonys' old setup is where I would like to be 1/4th mile wise.. Smokes dyno shows that his heads are working quite well with his combo..
