it all adds up, GM can't figure out the problem, get so BS about high rpm and light load and inbalance to the crank case. Total BS, light load means less ring flutter and the reason the crankcase is filling up is because the ring ain't sealing, not the other, complete BS, way around. Techno bable and spin, but are they fixing a know problem? Even GM says they tear apart the motor and can't find anything wrong. Like duh, the wrong can't be measured, except by Jesus on a good day.

So redesign of the ring type and tension ain't fixing this. Increase of ring size would, but that would cost money, drop HP a little, drop MPG a little, don't want to fool with CAFE as they make way more money on SUVs and the like. Same goes with the 30 weight oil, CAFE goes down, sure engines will last longer, but who cares about engines lasting past warrenty? CAFE is where its at man. So that's what we got whimmpy rings, light oil. 5/64 or 2mm been used since? forever. Gee lets go to some light tension, thin rings on our high per motor, no we ain't ever done that before so we can't do it one at a time, light tension and then maybe thinner, nope gotta cut 25% on size and 30% on tension, screw the 100 years of auto design before hand.

about the dipstick poping out , i had that problem at about 15k miles so i tried the breather thing and it didn't work , it turned out that engine vibration caused the dipstick to wiggle out ...
