Well my car doesn't fall on its face and die. The rpms just get low and in a split second it jumps up, i just wanted to know if it was maybe the size of the cam or maybe the tune that creates this. To tell you the truth this cam is big, and many people mind install it and might hate themselves for going so big. Me i am planning on changing my rear end to maybe a 9" and going with 3.90s since i am going to spray on top of having the cam. I knew i was going to have less low end power and tons of power up top. And i knew that the ride was going to be nothing like my stocker, but everyones is different. But when you sit at a light and everyone around you stares at you like theres something wrong with your car its worth it. The day i got back from tuning a guy at a gas station heard me park and he came over from the other side to tell me that my car sounded great. And that the people i knew should learn to cherish what i had. So i guess he had a flashback of the old school muscle car days. I love the sound and i love the power this cam makes.

It does sound sick, theres nothing like owning a cammed car. Yeah you can have an exhaust that has a beautiful tone, but when your idling you need to have that lopey sound to go with it. I tried uploading some clips onto LS1Tech videos i don't know whats going on with that.

i have no issues at all except if you try to drive when the temp is below 150 it likes to surge but after that it drives perfect! if my car want a race car i would go smaller because there is no need for that big of a cam if its never gonna see the track IMO!
and mines an auto and dynoed 411!! so umm ya!!!! sounds awesome as well!!!

I was just wondering how others with this cam thought about the drive. I know this morning i started the car let it warm up for about 2 minutes. Then as i backed out i turned the wheel and applied the brake so i could then put it in first to move foward. But as i turned and applied the brake the cars rpms dropped and then the car turned off. When the car is up to temperature it drives fine doesn't turn off even if the rpms drop real low. But my question still is whats making that occur that maybe the tune is still not right, or maybe that the cam is so large that the tune can only do so much.

Thats what i was thinking but wasn't sure. I know he set my idle at 950 rpms, and when the rpms drop a bit they come back up without a problem. But it seems like it has a tougher time coming back up on cold starts. Especially lately on how cold its been down here in Miami.

Well its been in the low 60s here in South Fl. Thats pretty cold since we have 80+ degrees of weather the rest of the year. Here a clip of my car idling before i had it tuned.

Sounds freakin great! Awesome job on the whole project.
I asked the question of how often people tune their cars a little while back. I got the answer of dependent on mods and "seasonal changes". I wonder what variance in temp. / humidity would require you to get a new tune? Living in Fl. and driving the car year round would require semi annual tunes. Have you heard of Jeremy Formatto? You should give him a call if you have any doubts about your tune. He's a sponsor of the board too.

We have another f-body in the club putting out either 365whp or 450whp depending on which motor hes using.. (he has a tendency to keep breaking things)
Let me know man. Either way if your in the area lets meet up. I deff would like to see how the MS3 pulls on the top end.

No i don't go to the University of Miami, im just a real big fan of the football team. Well i drove the car around for a bit with ryan in the car with me he was checking things out making sure they were ok. He noticed my idle would drop at some lights and thats the reason he bumped up my idle to 950. Well like camscam02 says i you get the right tune your car should run perfect no matter what the weather is.

I've got that same cam in a stalled auto and other than an occasional surge at low rpms it works great. I'm in TN, so it's about 22 degrees right now and it runs just like it did when it was 95 out. Got my tune close by TSP mail order and went from there. Congrats on the install! Be sure to post some pics and times when you get the TNT installed.
