Default getting rid of false knock

I am getting false knock from what I think is my cutout vibrating the whole dame car a WOT. What can be done to stop this? Also just in case . How do you stop your exhaust from banging under the car on hard acceleration?

Tony (Nineball) has designed a False Knock eliminator. You may want to get with him.. He can get you these very quickly and they work VERY well...

Knock it out!!

Yes, there is possible danger if your engine is suffering from real knock while spraying nitrous. That knock sensor setup would help save your motor under a nitrous detonation.

Personally, I do not recommend my product to guys running nitrous or boost, but some of them have purchased it anyways. As long as they know 100% they are suffering from false knock, I guess they feel confident about using it.

Thanks for the promotion Todd and Anthony!

So if I eliminate the knock being real knock then I should be ok using the knock out box? Ill do all the testing this weekend . Would you think I should have to use better that 94 octane for the tests? Everyone says 100octane race gas has to be used.

I would always use 100-104 Octane race fuel to test for false/real knock retard. If you see KR on that stuff and you are not running lean, then its most likely false knock. If you run that race fuel and your knock retard disappears, you are having real knock.

Yes, once you determine you have false knock only, then the box will be okay to use.

I didn't get false knock until I install the headers & custom Y-pipe. I think the extra exhaust noise (vibration) from the headers in the engine bay is to blame.

Hey Leo, Shaddup! haha

I didn't start getting bad false KR until I tried running with basically open headers (just a pair of bullets off the header extensions) when I was getting ready for the Bowling Green event a few months ago. I was seeing about 3 degrees KR with that loud exhaust setup, which is why I learned about the sensors and came up with a better design for desensitizing them. Didn't really plan on selling the item, but people kept emailing me wanting them.
