Upgrading combo... Look at my cam specs.
upgrading my combo and need some cam advice..
382 stoker
3.905x4.0
-8.6 pistons
6.125 rods
.042 gasket..4.0 bore
TEA stage 2 5.3l heads..59cc
come up with 11.5 compression.
ls6 intake
ported tb
85mm maf
lid
pacesetter lts
6 speed
car currently has a comp 240/248 609/615 112+4. Should I change my cam or run the one ive got? It has a 48* closing point which results in 9.4:1 dynamic compression.
car is a driver, pump gas and has a 200 shot as well. I want this thing to pull to 6600-7000
Please advise in my cam selection

From my calcs you are ~ 11.64 SCR and ~ 8.73 DCR (unless your -8.46 are domed pistons?) and I used a out of hole piston deck height of .010 out.
60* EVO will push that trq way high, don't expect too much below 5K/rpm
20* overlap.
Seems like a good choice being slightly exhaust biased from TDC EVC=8 while IVO=12
Should pull to 7K with no issues.

how are you getting those calculations??? im using a dynamic compression calculator on line and it says 11.5 9.37
my specs are
3.905 bore
-8.6 pistons
4 stroke
6.125 rod
59cc head
4.0 gasket bore
.042 compressed thickness
48* intake closing.
.007 out of hole
WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST CAM FOR THIS COMBO??? Want a really mean street cam that will pull high into the RPM's.
this is in a 6 speed car. like the thump and drivability needed is about a 5 on a scale of 1-10
bout to start assembly and want to make the best decision. filled out comps custom cam sheet twice and havent heard back from them at all.
Thanks,
Mike
