Crank the motor to get good oil pressure for a few seconds (like 3- 15 sec cranks)

What exactly is your question?? pumping up lifters is filling them with oil.

Do you mean pop out? like remove? If so then heads have to come off EOS.

Umm. If you say they are tapping, you mean with the engine running. In that case they are probably pumped up. You may want to look for a problem, like a bent pushrod.

ya i tried that and it didnt work. the only lifters tapping are the driverside,1,3,5,7. could this just be that oil is possibly being blocked from getting to that side, and if so do u know where it might be plugged?

How did they start making noise?

Did you miss a shift?

Have you had the motor apart?

Have you made any changes?

Hard to answer your question without further information, but if the noise came out of nowhere I would pull the valve cover and check the pushrods for starters.

I have the same problem on my Hawk. I installed the parts listed below with new lifters and it only tapps after its been running for like 20minutes. Some say I have to check the preload on the lifter others say to go with a heavier weight. What should i do?

TSP MS3
TSP 5.3 Heads
Harden Pushrods
Comp OE Lifters
KooKs
ASP
S3
Rollmaster
