02 WS6 M6

There aren't any Mobil 1 stickers in the engine compartment. I'm getting my first oil/filter change today. Which oil is in there now.

I don't know what was in mine from the factory but it looked nasty. Just put what you want to run in there. I put some Castrol 10-30 in mine and the oil pressure was much better than before I changed it. The oil filter put on at the factory was a BITCH to get off though. <img src="images/icons/mad.gif" border="0">

The Corvettes are getting Mobil 1, but I'm pretty sure F-bodies are still getting dino oil from the factory -

Supposedly someone on the SLP board (with good connections at GM) mentioned that 02s built after a certain date were now getting Mobil 1 from the factory. Not sure why GM would start doing this now, especially since they aren't advertising it. Perhaps it's less costly for them to simply use the same oil in all versions of the LS1?

Yep that's what I heard too... It was from Jeff Yachin at SLP... all f-bodies after I believe October are synthetic from the factory.
