Default HELP need heads for a G5X3

What are the best heads for the G5X3 in a 01 SS m6.

AFR 205

PRC Terminator 200cc

Any other PRC head 5.3, 5.7 , or 6.0 any stage

This is for a friends car, with g5x3, lid, ls6 intake, spec III, pace LT, cut out, 3.90 gears, nx 150 shot..

He doesn't want to upgrade to a FAST 90 intake yet, so what would be the best heads for this mismatched setup , for now??? The AFr's cost more but would prob help out more, than the prc.. But if the afr's have to have the intake to perform , then maybe the cheaper prc's would be better.

Thanks for the help

Feel free to post your setup's and dyno numbers

I would go with the TSP 5.3L 2.5 Heads. Smallish 220cc runners with great flow, yet small chambers for good compression. You need to decide if he's going to flycut though, you may need to go with the TSP LS6 Heads with stock valves. But I would maximize the combo and flycut.

LS6 Stage I if you're not going to flycut. The 6.0L have a larger bore which isn't optimal for your LS1.

My buddy Jody has the Dart Ls1 heads with a g5x3 cam and runs 11.6. He is running the 59cc and did flycut. I plan on getting the Dart heads.

Well, since it's one of the cams designed to get the most from stock heads, I went with Livernois LS6 heads and couldn't be happier. But as for not flycutting... once your heads are off, you have it apart enough to flycut. In other words, it's no extra work on the motor, so tell him to not be stupid. Flycut so that he can properly mill the heads and get the most from his setup.

For what its worth, I went 10.82 with my own ported heads, 224 .535 lift cam 112 about 3 years ago. It's more about combo than it is picking the perfect head/cam.

Would this et seem to indicate heads with very very good low lift numbers???? Also ofcourse it was, I'm assuming.........hooking up real good.
