Default CA Smog legal headers?-need worry

I was planning on putting SLP LT's with cats on. Are they CA smog legal? Do I need to be concerned?

Any relocation of the factory cats is illegal in CA. Even if it passes emissions. Stupid IMO.

SHorties don't make much power. This is the reason I run stock exhaust manifolds.

What Pat said above.. I have JBA's and on a 2000+ you wont see big gains. I gained around 4hp.. there might be more gain once I add cam and heads.. we shall see..

However.. they are a LOT lighter than the stock manifolds.. and they look way better than the rusty stock units..

ANYTHING that does not have a CARB number (california air resources board) is smog "illegal" and should not pass visual inspection.. unless you get lucky and find a shop willing to overlook it <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
