No, only shorties like hooker and JBA's are smog legal in <img src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" border="0" alt="[guns]" /> california.

Any relocation of the factory cats is illegal in CA. Even if it passes emissions. Stupid IMO.

What Pat said above.. I have JBA's and on a 2000+ you wont see big gains. I gained around 4hp.. there might be more gain once I add cam and heads.. we shall see..
However.. they are a LOT lighter than the stock manifolds.. and they look way better than the rusty stock units..
ANYTHING that does not have a CARB number (california air resources board) is smog "illegal" and should not pass visual inspection.. unless you get lucky and find a shop willing to overlook it <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
