Could you use 98 heads on a 2000 if you had 98 valve covers? Could you use 2000 headers on a 98 w/o the kit if you had EGR delete on your programming?

Seandadd, yeah you can use 98 heads on a 00 as long as you use 98 valve covers along with the 98 coil pack trays. 97-98 valve cover gaskets are different from 99-02 FYI.

98 Heads and 99-01 Heads? Why are they not interchangable? Also the same question about headers.
Thanks in advance.

The headers on the 98 and 99's can be swapped out but 2000 and up models have a different EGR setup. you can buy adapters to make them work though

John

I was going to sell my MMS stage II heads to somebody. The heads were for a 2000 but I just found out the guy who is thinking of buying them has a '98.

What exactly would he need to put these on his car?

Thanks in advance.
