Default Estimated HP/TQ of a .060 6.0 iron block:

6.0 punched out .060, or as much as it can go, ARE stage 2 heads, T1 cam or equivelent? Is 500 HP too much to expect?

If you're using the LS6 intake, I'd guesstimate 410-430 RWHP w/ a locked converter, depending on a few other factors.

I would think more than 430 would be possible with a locked convertor. Brooke put close to 430 down with his heads/cam stock bottom end motor with the convertor locked, this was even before the LS6 intakes.

I would guess somewhere around 450 rwhp.

It would be worth about 40rwhp more than a 346, if you have stage 3 heads and a larger cam. With the same heads/cam as your 346, maybe another 25rwhp

If I were starting out fresh, I would not even bother with the stock cam & heads. It would be more of an agressive cam than the 346 could handle. More cubes, I should be able to go bigger on the cam & still keep it streetable. I'd be looking for an idle that was comparable to the way the Thunder cam acts in the 346.
The heads would be either a local ported stage 2, or stock 6.0.
Stage 2 of the motor (as $$ presents itself) would def include ARE stage 2 heads, upgraded fuel system, enough to handle a progressive controled 250-300 shot direct port. 12 bolt & 400 turbo with gear vendors overdrive.
The average head & cam 346 seems to be making 400 min, to 430, so I gotta believe that with the extra cubes & more agressive cam, 40 hp increase would be the least that I would expect, as much as 60? Anyone running a similar setup?
John, no problem on the bar. It will be legal when it needs to be, but on the street, it has to work with me <img src="graemlins/gr_xmas.gif" border="0" alt="[santa]" />
