i would asume because the fix to the eating oil problem is the new '02 rings not sure about pistons but they should

They'll fit, but why the hell would you pull the motor apart to put back in basically the same thing you'll be taking out. You'd be better off getting a set of good Forged pistons if you're gonna go that far.
