Default offroad pipe vs high flow converters

im gettin the mac headers very soon and i want to know teh difference between the off road pipe and high flow converters....what is the performance and sound difference between these?

On a stock motored LS1 F-body, the MAC catalytics will cost you about 5 rwhp on the dynojet. This might translate to about a half tenth in the 1/4 mile slower than with an offroad Y.

Sound wise, I think the cars sound better with cats in place, it is a more refined and deeper sound, without any metallic raspiness.

The Mac cats don't flow any better than stock. If you want cats; but the ORP and some Random Tech cats and have them welded in. The RT cats flow much better than stock.

Agreed 100%. This is exactly what I’m doing, RT cats in a MAC ORY pipe.
