Just got an 00' LS1 and am looking for 450whp What will I need? Will it cost me over $4,500 to get me there?
Im assuming all bolt ons (CAI, Headers, LS6 intake manifold) will get me to 400whp/400whtq on pump..
I basically want to beat my buddy's Cobra with an intake, pulley, exhaust. His is making something like 500tq, but I understand this car is heavy..
That will be my first step. I wont go F/I.

start reading in this forum for info on heads and cams. Then read in external engine forum for info on headers, etc. There are many posts that address this. After you narrow down your questions please start posting.
BTW, bolt-ons will get you to 400 HP as advertised by car companies. Rear wheel HP which you see quoted here will be down in the 330 - 350 range when measured on a dyno jet.
