m6 Idle speeds

What do you idle at and what size is your cam?

I'm idling at 900-1000 rpm on a 230/232 cam (383) Does that sound to high?

Most people here with aftermarket cams set the idle to 900 anyway. Also the weight of the flywheel and clutch will affect how the car idles. FWIW I have a 221/221 on a 112 with an aluminum flywheel and all it does is surge with anything less that 900rpm.

228/232 112 lsa 800rpm but might be droping it to 750. doesnt lope as much now with the TD and cats

bought the car with the cam so idk why its set to idle so high

i dont know how it stay on that low but my friend has a 5.3 with a 220 can and he idles at 550 with an auto and it sounds awsome too

I had mine at 900 but as I got better at tuning idle, i dropped it back down to stock 800 rpm.

TR224 cam here on a 112 lsa, idle is at 850.
